Unprofessional, please avoid at all costs.
Gaston Denomme, was the appraiser for a home I bought recently. I've talked to him directly and made an appointment at 1pm on a certain date, being that I will there on the appointment. On this date we also had a PDI from 1pm till 3pm so he was willing to tag along.
When that date arrived he never decided to come. In fact after a couple weeks, we got the appraisal back from our agent, and from the report we can see that he purposely set the time at 4pm. He deliberately set the time after 3pm so he wouldn't have to meet us. He valued the home I bought nearly $80,000 value less. To us it seemed like he googled the average home market place in that area and set it as that.
When asked for proof if he did appraise the home, he provided none, not even a single picture whereas other appraisers take multiple pictures to show for appraisal. How is it possible that he was able to appraise a home when he doesn't have the keys to enter the home whilst no one is at home. Due to this unprofessionalism, we had to deposit far more for our mortgage, all because this person was lazy to travel to the home.

Please avoid this firm and Gaston Denomme at all costs if you value your home.
